2007 Seaside Pearl Toyota Prius

I came across this awesome article yesterday from tracking the word Prius on twitter. HybridCars.com explains what you need to know and how to get the hypermilers gas mileage of 70 mpg or more with your Prius!

I use some of these same techniques and my gas mileage is roughly around 55 – 60 mpg. I do a lot of highway traveling so it tends to be more around 55 mph. They do say to set your cruise at 55 mph on the highway. How many of you set it at 55? I know I don’t. I think I need to start implementing that into my driving. Read the rest of this entry »

Prius on Twitter

Everyone knows I am in love with my Prius and Twitter! Why not put both of them together?!

I follow the word Prius on Twitter to see what people in the Twitterverse are saying. I always get some funny tweets from people mad at Prius drivers to people riding in a Prius and wanting to buy one right after their first ride. This tweet I got the other day is pretty funny!

Any of you Prius drivers have anything to say about it? Or any Prius haters?

After all the hype yesterday of the Southern winter storm, we got a very light dusting of snow. People around here were freaking out yesterday. They needed bread, eggs, and milk before the snow started. I have only been down in the South for about a year and half. They start going crazy if there is one flurry in the sky or its in the forecast. Now if I was in the midwest and got the light dusting of white stuff that we did, they wouldn’t even be calling it snow!

It was also a special occasion for my Prius, he saw the first snowfall of his life!

That was the extent of the snow yesterday on my car, and when I woke up this morning it was all gone!
